We are DoubleDM, a TTRPG Discussion Podcast focused on Deep-Dive Discussion into a single topic every week to find what makes our Games better and ourselves better GMs. We both have been playing TTRPGs for the better part of a decade and both wanted to create some Content of our own. We settled on a Podcast focused on improving our GM Styles by talking about Topics in a deep dive discussion, this is how DoubleDM Podcast was born. Our aim with this Podcast is mainly to improve ourselves by discovering deeper meanings behind topics and asking questions everyone has to answer for themselves to become the best DM they can be.

Most TTRPGs have some form of damage, be it hit points, sanity, emotional damage or whatever. All these systems then also have something else… Healing! When there is damage you need to think about healing and recovering from said damage.
But most of the time the healing feels… unengaging and more like a tacked-on necessity than an actual gameplay mechanic. That’s not necessarily bad but let’s think about how to make the healing more interesting!
